Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal role in preserving the optimal condition of our storage facility for our valued customers. This entails a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at upholding cleanliness, safety, and functionality across the property. We\'re seeking an individual with a comprehensive understanding of maintenance procedures, adept problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues within the storage facility.
Execute regular maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting in common areas, hallways, and storage units.
Inspect and maintain security features like gates, fences, and surveillance cameras to ensure their proper functioning.
Perform repairs and maintenance on storage unit doors, locks, latches, and hinges.
Monitor and manage lighting fixtures, replacing bulbs and fixtures as required to ensure adequate illumination throughout the property.
Address minor repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements as needed.
Oversee pest control measures to prevent infestations and sustain a hygienic environment.
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication with both customers and management.
Adhere to established procedures and protocols for property maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance-related fields is a plus. Previous experience in property maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and procedures. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
