Federal Aviation Administration Facility Information Support Specialist (Archibus) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Summary The incumbent performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments as required for providing support related to the development and administration of commercial facility management information systems. Work activities are performed under the minimal direction of the manager, team lead, or more experienced staff. Responsibilities The position serves as a functional application administrator of a complex Archibus/Facility Management (FM) information system. The incumbent will be responsible for development of automation solutions, tools, and integration of facility management processes into a suite of applications that addresses multiple aspects of facilities and infrastructure management in many facility management areas including space management, project management, building operations, and environmental occupational safety and health management. Archibus system support duties include configuration, development, technical support, research, analysis, troubleshooting, customization, and administration; using experience and skill with an integrated workplace management system (IWMS) application as well as programming skills such as SQL queries, JavaScript and XML programming. Support also includes developing floorplan drawings to accurately reflect space layouts in accordance with standards and for use with an Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) such as Archibus and requires knowledge of AutoCAD and industry standards such as ANSI/BOMA, Gross Area of a Building or IFMA/ AS TM, Standard Classification for Building Floor Area Measurements for Facility Management. Provide helpdesk support to users, develop training and written help documentation, and present training on various Archibus modules including web based and mobile (iOS) applications. Incumbent collaborates with system users and management to ensure that Archibus applications meet organizational requirements and goals and supports additional software applications used by AMP for facility management needs. The incumbent may act as a project manager or team leader for large projects and/or studies related to information systems support programs and requirements. Provides Information System Security (ISS) support for the Office of Facility Management. Conducts research, assessment, analysis, and documentation as needed to ensure that specific Facility Management systems continue to meet all FAA ISS requirements. Applies knowledge of information systems security principles, concepts, and methods as needed to resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new or modified systems within the existing infrastructure. Manages routine system reviews to ensure ISS compliance with federal account management and security policies and assists with mitigation of system security vulnerabilities within required timeframes. Utilizes advanced skill and evaluative techniques in conducting assessments of information, data, and system performance for the purposes of improving the efficiency and productivity of information systems. Conducts research and data analysis utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and/or other statistical software systems as required to provide results and recommendations for system and/or process improvements. Develops, presents, clarifies, or edits materials (e.g., user manuals, work instructions) to develop the best approach to increase employee understanding of information systems operations, requirements, and functionality. Contacts are with management, employees, or groups in the immediate organization, regional/Center personnel, and external organizations. Contacts are generally with individuals whose roles and authorities may differ extensively. Collaborates with staff to ensure work activities/products align with the LOB/organizational strategic goals and customer requirements. The work affects the plans, goals, and effectiveness of missions and programs for multiple lines of business and locations within the agency. The quality of the incumbent's work directly affects the advice and guidance given to program managers and senior officials. Qualifications TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-I (FG/GS-13) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to FV-H or (FG/GS-12) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes providing development support and administration of Archibus; implementing new Archibus modules for system enhancements or expansions by conducting research, gathering data, configuration, and conducting needs assessments, performing testing, analysis, and quality control of data for the facility information management system, and/or designing and developing Archibus customizations; development of automation solutions and integration of facility management processes into a suite of applications that address multiple aspects of facility and infrastructure management such as, but not limited to, Space Management, Computer Aided Drawing (AutoCAD) tools, Building Operations Management, Real Property and Lease Management, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health Management, Moving Services, Project Management, and Strategic Master Planning; developing strategic solutions to support the facility management business processes across multiple organizations/customers; serving as the application administrator for Facility Management systems.
