ManTech is seeking a Field Technician (CI/HUMINT) to join our team in our USMC customer in Okinawa Japan,

This position requires an ACTIVE DoD TS/ SCI Security Clearance.

General Responsibilities :

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all CIHEP and TSCM equipment and related components.

  • Issue of equipment to Marine Corps CI/HUMINT personnel for use in training, operations and for deployments.

  • Maintain inventory records, and records of equipment issued for use by active duty personnel.

  • Provide monthly equipment inventories to the CI/HUMINT Company Commander, as well as to the CIHEP/TSCM Project Officer at MARCORSYSCOM.Inventories will include equipment status (on-hand, deployed/temploan/subcustody, and in maintenance cycle).

  • Storing CIHEP and TSCM suites in a manner that protects equipment, software, hardware and other components from pilferage, damage and unauthorized use.

  • Ensuring any Crypto/EKMS materials associated with CIHEP are properly accounted for, handled and stored in accordance with current Marine Corps, Navy and DoD policy.The FT will obtain and handle Crypto/EKMS material, as needed, in coordination with Intelligence Battalion EKMS personnel.

  • The FT will receive and coordinate the transfer of all CIHEP and TSCM items fielded, placed into maintenance, or disposed of.

  • Will serve as the primary local point of contact on all CIHEP and TSCM equipment issues with the major geographic area assigned.

  • The FT will participate in new equipment training provided through the CIHEP Project Officer at MARCORSYSCOM.Training will require the FT to travel to various locations in the US to receive such training at the direction of the CIHEP Project Officer.

  • When necessary, the FT will travel to forward operating locations overseas to provide CIHEP technical, maintenance, logistics and administrative support to deployed CI/HUMINT personnel.Travel requirements of this nature will be determined by the Intelligence Battalion Commander and coordinated between the Intelligence Battalion Commander (or designate) and the CIHEP Project Officer at MARCORSYSCOM. It is accepted that the Intelligence Battalion interest is purely operational and the MARCORSYSCOM interest is to coordinate within the perimeters of the existing support contract for fulfillment of unique operational requirements.Travel of this nature may be in support of a specific mission requirement, deployment, or major military operation.

  • Travel to Quantico annually to participate in a CIHEP Program conference sponsored by the Project Officer; the annual conference will include all three local Field Technicians.

  • Maintenance Management.The FT will have the following maintenance management responsibilities.

  • Identify CIHEP equipment, components and accessory items that are damaged, missing or otherwise unserviceable.

  • Coordinate with local ICE2 or other appropriate maintenance representatives for the repair or replacement of damaged, missing or otherwise unserviceable CIHEP and TSCM items.

  • Maintain Equipment Records on all major CIHEP components. These records will document maintenance and equipment status, as well as contain individual module/case inventory sheets.

  • Establish and maintain a tracking system that enables the FT to determine what equipment is in a maintenance cycle, its status, and anticipated return to service.Use the maintenance tracking system to expedite return of equipment for use.

  • Obtain statements from authorized equipment users on the circumstances surrounding damaged or missing CIHEP or TSCM items.Copies of these statements will be provided to the CI/HUMINT Company Commander for decisions regarding responsibility resulting from negligence on the part of the authorized user.Copies will be provided to the CIHEP Project Officer (MARCORSYSCOM) for collective analysis with regard to use and durability issues of fielded equipment.

  • Identify trends in manufacturer defects among the CIHEP suite and provide formal reports to the CIHEP Project Officer at MARCORSYSCOM for action, as required.

  • Identify equipment repairs covered under warranty and coordinate the repairs as necessary.Advise CIHEP Project Officer (MARCORSYSCOM) on warranty-related trends.

  • Identify equipment and components that are reaching end of expected lifecycle for replacement and refresh.

  • Technical Support and Equipment Training.

  • Undergo MARCORSYSCOM-sponsored training on the use and application of all equipment modules contained in the CIHEP Suite.Maintain satisfactory level of technical expertise in the use, function and application of all CIHEP items.

  • Undergo MARCORSYSCOM-sponsored training for all new equipment fielded under the CIHEP Program.Maintain satisfactory level of technical expertise in the use, function and application of all new equipment.

  • Provide technical support to all CIHEP users within the geographic area assigned.This task includes travel to exercise or operational areas where on-site technical support is necessary to accommodate mission requirements.

  • Coordinate the resolution of specific technical problems with equipment suppliers, manufacturers and designers in coordination with the CIHEP Project Officer, as required.

  • Provide on-site training on existing and new equipment and applications to local CI/HUMINT personnel, as directed by the CI/HUMINT Company Commander.This task may include providing training during exercises or in support of specific operations and deployments.

  • Prepare and distribute training materials, as required, to local CIHEP users.

Mandatory Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and four years experience or in lieu of degree Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience with at least 5 years CI/HUMINT background

  • Hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance (In JPAS)

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
