[JOB DESCRIPTION: [The purpose of this position is the installation, maintenance and support of the Department's Network and Software Systems. - The most significant difference between a System Tech II and the Tech III is the Tech III's ability to work independently and as the lead on the most difficult design, maintenance, troubleshooting and analysis assignments.

``` - The System Tech III works at the advanced/lead level and may be responsible for entire application platforms within the department. The System Tech III may be assigned supervision over lower-level staff.

``` - Provides expert level support at both the hardware level as well as operating system(s) level. Can support/troubleshoot multiple device types proficiently and effectively.

``` - Has scripting knowledge and is a contributor to the Department's knowledge base.

``` - Configures and installs network equipment, computers, servers, printers, and other peripherals.

``` - Assists with the installation, maintenance, and support of the Department's Automatic Vehicle Locator/Mobile system.

``` - Assists with the installation, maintenance, and support of the Department's Computer- Aided Dispatch system.

``` - Tracks and maintains user profiles and directories.

``` - Administers and monitors system backups and disaster recovery solutions.
