Job Overview:

Join VarcoMac as a Security Technical Services, Integration, and Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of technical professionals in the development, installation, and maintenance of cutting-edge electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong leadership presence, fostering collaboration across departments and ensuring projects not only meet but exceed client expectations from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical team in delivering comprehensive electronic security solutions.

  • Facilitate seamless interaction among Operations, Engineering, Sales, and other departments to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle from pre-sales through planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and post-installation support.

  • Collaborate with sales executives to drive business development and identify growth opportunities within the electronic security sector.

  • Analyze contracts and project documentation to align with comprehensive project objectives.

  • Work directly with clients to identify their security needs, designing custom solutions that fit their security requirements and budget.

  • Conduct thorough site surveys and risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate identified security risks.

  • Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards and best practices for system installation and integration.

  • Supervise the preparation of detailed shop drawings and wiring diagrams according to project specifications.

  • Guarantee that all installations meet the highest quality standards and client expectations.

  • Serve as a technical mentor, enhancing the skills and knowledge of junior staff through training and support.

  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and industry standards.

  • Develop strong, enduring relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Two (2) year technical degree or similar experience in the electrical construction field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing complex security system projects.

  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse teams and client demographics.

  • In-depth knowledge of modern electronic security systems, including access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection technologies.

  • Capable of juggling multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Good knowledge of electrical construction industry

  • Organized: Sense of urgency with ability to set priorities and build action plans to drive timely execution. Thorough, methodical and result-oriented with great attention to detail. Able to combine the predictability of standard operating procedures with the flexibility of continuous process improvement.

  • Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills

  • Effective communication, troubleshooting skillsProblem Solving: Able to identify patterns beyond noise or incomplete information by demonstrating a willingness to engage by asking questions. Attention to detail, able to segregate beliefs and assumptions from facts. Demonstrate strong judgment to turn information into insights, practical solutions and decision-ready recommendations.

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project, and electronic estimating software

  • Proficient with Cost estimating program

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
