Job Description:

About the Role:

The role of the Long/Distressed Inventory Specialist is to reduce our distressed, donate and dump (3D) losses.

• Identify inventory at risk of aging and ensure sales has all the information needed to sell the product through primary channels or work with the salvage sales team when primary channel is not viable.

• Identify the root cause of excess inventory, put in sustainable countermeasures to reduce losses, and track progress against recovery tactics.

• Identify and communicate potential exposure as well as report out on successes and areas of opportunity.

• Create visibility to the warning signs of aging inventory by ensuring that holistic decision making is used in new product launches, product transitions, and discontinuations.

• Use forecast accuracy data to identify problem areas and suggest/create improvement.

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Units, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance and Operations to ensure cross-functional alignment and meet company objectives.

Important Details: This is a full-time, remote position.

About You:

You’ll fit right in if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field preferred

• Minimum 3 years supply chain or operations experience

• Ability to clearly communicate results of analysis verbally and in written form

• Experience with an ERP system; knowledge of SAP desired

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (produce & maintain graphs/tables)

• Intermediate PowerBI skillset preferred

• APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) a plus
