Job Description

The Sr. Scientist will support the technical transfer of new neurotoxin products, conceive and implement novel experimental approaches to answer scientific questions. Investigate, identify, develop, and optimize new methods and techniques. Contribute to project science in area of expertise. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across Operations and R&D.

Responsibilities:

  • Support technical transfers of new neurotoxin products and processes from R&D into manufacturing and development/validation activities to support regulatory filings for new products.

  • Works closely with cross-functional teams on pipeline projects from development through commercial launch and support.

  • Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement activities for aseptic fill/finish processes including lyophilization and vial/syringe filling operations.

  • Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.

  • May initiate new areas of investigation that are scientifically meaningful, reliable, and can be directly incorporated into development and technical transfer programs.

  • Make significant contributions to project team through lab based activities.

  • Demonstrates a high proficiency across a wide range of relevant technologies.

  • Maintain a high level of productivity in the Operations S&T lab.

  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, and GxP compliance.

  • Primary author of publications, presentations, regulatory documents and/or primary inventor of patents.

  • Direct mentorship of junior scientists and engineers.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 8 years of experience, PhD and no experience necessary.

  • Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own scientific discipline.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
