Job Description

Optimize new methods and techniques to generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Perform a wide variety of analytical techniques in support of clinical development programs. Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments and demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within discipline. Work comfortably both as part of a team and individually.

Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with theory of, and eager/able to perform: HPLC, GC, Dissolution, LC/MS, GC/MS, ICP, Xray, KF and other instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.

  • Utilize computer skills to compile and analyze testing results. Familiar with Chromatography Data Systems and optimal integration practices. Familiar with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) data capture.

  • Ensures safety and GxP requirements are followed throughout the laboratory analysis process. Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of accurate and precise data.

  • Interpret results and draw conclusions from experiments, note significant deviations, then suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments. Resolve and troubleshoot routine scientific and technical issues independently.

  • Independently plan and perform method development, validation, execution, and assessment of results

  • Understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner.

  • Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results. Be able to communicate complex sets of data clearly and concisely.

  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.

  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience.

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out the job functions.
