Job Description

Purpose:

As a Discovery and Digital Process Mapping Director for the Factory of the Future, your role is pivotal in analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes. You'll lead discovery sessions to understand current workflows and identify opportunities for automation and integration of advanced technologies. Responsibilities include creating detailed process maps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing streamlined processes to drive efficiency in the context of Industry 4.0. Your insights will be crucial for shaping the digital transformation journey of the factory toward a more advanced and agile future.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document current workflows, and create detailed process maps. Your role involves employing various discovery techniques to uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation. Additionally, you'll play a vital part in recommending and implementing streamlined processes to enhance overall operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

· Create process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles, and self-service guidance for IT Services

· Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts.

· Facilitate process workflow modeling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities, and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.

· Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes is achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed-upon service levels.

· Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns.

· Identify issues and risks.

· Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management.

· Participate in problem resolution.

· Track major incident management processes and ensure adherence to the process and escalation requirements within the various support and delivery areas.

· Prepare incident details for post-mortem incident reviews.

· Extract reports and provide a high-level analysis of data for review.

· Maintain a complete understanding of and adheres to all IT policies and processes.

· Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements.

· Mapping out digital workflows and processes.

· Recommending and implementing technology solutions.

· Ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

· Training teams on new digital processes.

Qualifications

· A bachelor’s degree required, preferably computer science, surveying, engineering, or closely related discipline is, and 6+ years of professional work experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of work experience. Has demonstrated competency within a discipline.

· Degree in computer science, surveying, engineering, or related field.

· Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.

· Proficiency with front-end design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various mapping languages.

· Experience with mapping tools such as QGIS and Carto.

· Experience with GPS measuring tools.

· Outstanding quantitative skill set.

· Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

· Analytical mindset.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Listens to and understands others' points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.

· Interacts well with diverse groups across the corporation and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.

· Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences, while optimizing overall organizational goals.
