Unifrax QC Operator I in North Augusta, South Carolina

Job Requirements

Responsible for the thorough inspection of quality for products on his/her equipment via the Felt Inspection Procedure, Non-Laminator Inspection Criteria and Laminator/Pleatable Inspection Criteria. Responsible for maintaining production, product quality, and safety while operating equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the thorough quality inspection of products on his/her equipment via the Felt Inspection Procedure, Non-Laminator Inspection Criteria and Laminator/Pleatable Inspection Criteria.

  • Has the responsibility of all manufacturing processes such as production, product quality, and safety.

  • Quality operation must be performed as instructed through the Plant Work Orders, Order Instruction and Quality Plans.

  • Responsible for the documentation of all production and quality data as instructed, such as Quality Control Report, Quality Control Report – Defects forms, Time Sheets, Traveling Tickets, and Waste Reports.

  • Supports and follows SFC policies, procedures, work instructions, including the SFC Quality Management System.

  • Organize and clean work area daily to ensure work area is efficient and safe.

  • Clean equipment as instructed by Supervisor. This includes product changeovers, daily cleaning schedules, and any projects assigned by Supervision.

  • Train new employees.

  • Assist Maintenance Staff in the repair and trouble-shooting of equipment.

  • Observe all Safety Rules and regulations and advise Supervision of any safety issues that need attention.

  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as directed by Supervision.

Other:

  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.

  • Must be able to work extended hours when required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • May require a high school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience desired, but not required.

  • Attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

  • Good math and reading skills.

  • Ability to follow directions and product specifications.

  • Ability to lift 50-lbs regularly.

  • Ability to push or pull and “A” Frame

  • Must be available to work 12-hour shift and OT as needed.
