In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Consider this role if you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. To be preferred for this position, you will need to have a complex understanding Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process Requirements - Accounting Principles experience desired

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases
