Responsibilities

• Own the efforts to resolve some of the technically deepest problems in the SDN (Software Defined Networking) and host networking areas.

• Follow the latest developments in technology, work with consortiums/forums in the industry actively, and help our cloud infrastructure evolve towards the next big growth.

• Collaborate with different partner teams and counterparts in different geographies to meet the goals of the organization.

• Mentor junior members of the team and take ownership of building and maintaining an efficient team with the right mindset and attitude to grow as a team.

• Drive innovation in the team via thought leadership, working on ideas/improvements/proofs of concepts/demonstrations/talks.

• Own the quality of the product and drive the efforts to achieve high quality standards and to retain it consistently.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

• Hands-on experience in networking, distributed systems and network virtualization.

• Technical leadership, problem solving, troubleshooting skills and highly effective collaboration skill cross teams and groups.

• Passion for improving and streamlining the engineering process, tools, methodologies to develop, operate services at hyper-scale, and high quality standards.

Other Qualifications:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in Linux system programming.

• Exposure to scripting languages • Exposure to datapath technologies / layers such as DPDK, Classical NICs, SmartNICs, virtual Switch.

• Communication and collaboration skills with ability to develop partnerships.
