James R. Glidewell Dental Ceramics 21934 Purchasing Systems Specialist in Newport Beach, California

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the first level of technical support for all purchasing systems-related inquiries and troubleshooting across the organization, including remotes.
  • Responds to incoming inquiries pertaining to purchasing systems but not limited to software, hardware, workflows, and processes.
  • Works with team members and system vendors to resolve system-related issues, implement required updates, and design/maintain interfaces.
  • Participates in and supports implementation, administration, maintenance, and supports enhancements to the applications and their related integrations.
  • Run existing reports related to the needs of purchasing including but not limited to FIFO (first in first out), lead times, invoicing, vendors, transactions, monthly usage, department usage, AP, receiving, and inventory.
  • Coordinates and conducts training on new and existing processes and procedures for various department, including but not limited to Purchasing, Maintenance, Accounting and Manufacturing.
  • Leads and manages issue resolution efforts across end-users, peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as required.
  • Assists with end-to-end project support, including business requirements, analysis, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Validates data across numerous database systems to ensure accuracy and alignment, determines root cause, and corrects any conflicting data.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents process flows system diagrams and best practices/standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participates in reviewing Documents process flows system diagrams and reviewing best practices/standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with system vendors to resolve system-related issues, implement required updates, and design/maintain interfaces.
  • Participates in and supports implementation, administration, maintenance, and supports enhancements to the applications and their related integrations.
  • Assist and collaborates with application end users and IT to support system upgrades, new processes, and initiatives.
  • Provides support for vending solution needs, including but not limited to purchasing, maintaining, training, updating, troubleshooting, and software integration.
  • Travels to remote sites for setup, installation, updates, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance check of hardware solutions.
  • Creates, review and maintain security access and roles for ERP system.
  • Oversees, procure, maintain, track, and update/review all licensing for ERP.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new and trending inventory-related software, hardware, and updates.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree or certification in related field required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a purchasing, supply chain, warehouse, or inventory-related environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in the inventory management system, ERP system, or relevant systems preferred.
  • Experience utilizing SQL coding language, or creating reports with a similar intelligence software application, preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Power Platform, Crystal Reports, Access, Excel, VBA, preferred.

Pay Range: $27.86-30.86
