Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT SURVIVAL FLIGHT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D1867000 and is part of the 157th Operations Group, New Hampshire Air National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT SURVIVAL FLIGHT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER TITLE 32 PERMANENT, WG-4818-10, you will provide diagnostic, analytical, calibration, investigative research, troubleshooting, in-depth inspections,quality control inspections, certification, testing, evaluation, and maintenance or overhaul of all Aircrew Flight Equipment and aircrew chemical defense equipment. Provides formal academic classroom and technical instruction to all pilots/aircrew on all initial and continuation instruction to ensure aircrew survival ability under peacetime or combat operations. Responds and participates as an Air Force aircraft mishap board representative in investigating flight support equipment failures/malfunctions associated with mishaps. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership in the military grade/rank listed in the announcement. Military Grades: E-3 to E-5 Compatible Military Assignments: 1P0X1 or Any AFSC, must become fully qualified within 24 months. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's knowledge of materials and equipment used in the line of work (helmets, torso harness assemblies, parachutes, survival equipment). Ability to understand written instructions and to use reference materials and manuals. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18 months experience or training which has demonstrated knowledge of aviation life support equipment. Experience reading and interpreting military manuals. Experience in supply procedures and property accountability. Experience collecting information and presenting it to various sized groups. Experience in planning a functional shop maintenance program is essential. It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position. It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment. Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position.
