JPMorgan Chase Core General Ledger - Project Manager / Product Owner - Analyst in Newark, Delaware

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events and the Chief Data Office for Finance and TCIO. The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

As a Core GL Project Manager / Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing project activities related to the SAP General Ledger application and work closely with technology partners to drive change initiatives and implementations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the defining business requirements, performing gap analysis, & identifying current and future operating models

  • Organize, schedule, coordinate, and manage project activities and resources, including scorecards and senior management updates

  • Identify issues, risks, and project roadblocks and develop effective risk management approaches and mitigation strategies

  • Work in partnership with team members and/or stakeholders to resolve issues and own the communication and escalation process as required

  • Ensure operational readiness through both rigorous testing and implementation management

  • Drive components of the GL Platform based initiatives, coordinating across technology and the businesses

  • Define and execute project deliverables, including business requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

  • Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment

  • Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Basic understanding of ERP / General ledger applications (SAP) and associated functionality

  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools
