Description/Job Summary

The Sr. Manager of Partner Recruiting & Integration will lead firmwide recruitment and onboarding efforts for lateral partners. This role will report into the Office of the General Counsel, and will work closely with the Executive Committee, Practice Group Leaders and Regional Office Managing Partners to identify strategic hires and ensure the successful integration of these hires in support of the Firm's growth initiatives. The Sr. Manager of Partner Recruiting & Integration will also serve as the single point of contact for all recruiting and integration matters for all lateral partner hires and will prioritize their integration experience above all else.

Responsibilities/Duties

Lateral Partner Recruitment

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of recruitment from candidate submission through onboarding for lateral partner hires across all global offices

  • Cultivate strong relationships with practice group leaders and partners across offices to establish recruitment plans and develop ideal candidate profiles

  • Integrate competitive intelligence into recruitment strategies, leveraging hiring trends, movement of key competitors and geographic markets when planning

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact to key legal search firms by establishing strong relationships with recruiters

  • Maintain continuous communication with external recruiters to discuss the Firm's hiring needs and strategic objectives

  • Work closely with our DE&I team to ensure recruiting strategies align with and reflect the Firm's commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace

  • Build and maintain lateral partner recruiting analytics

  • Provide continuous status reports on candidate pipelines to Firm leadership

Lateral Partner Integration

  • Develop and manage an integration plan for all lateral partners, inclusive of orientation, meetings with key leaders, and training

  • Collaborate with practice group heads and other Firm leaders to develop and implement a customized integration strategy for each lateral hire

  • Provide regular updates on integration status of lateral hires to Firm leadership

  • Work closely with the Executive Management Specialist on pre-onboarding matters, including benefits enrollment, technology, office set-up, etc.

  • Coordinate with the Director of Partner Development & Administration to develop onboarding schedules

  • Liaise with Business Development on communication and client outreach strategy

  • Establish monthly check in meetings with lateral partner hires to ensure successful integration into the Firm

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of market and industry trends for lateral partner recruitment

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Proficient in legal applicant tracking systems (e.g. viDesktop, LawCruit)

  • Established relationships with legal search firms specializing in lateral partner recruitment

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to interact effectively with all Firm personnel levels

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organized, proactive and responsiveness

  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders

  • Sound judgement to recognize confidential information and maintain strict discretion

  • Ability to work independently, in a team and under the direction of others

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a comparable role

  • Previous experience managing lateral partner recruiting at a law firm or legal search firm

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of legal recruiting at a top AmLaw firm

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Education

  • JD preferred

Salary Information

NY only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $175k to $225k at the time of posting.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning that it is not overtime pay eligible.
