Who You Are

As a Senior Manager, Sales within the Sales organization, you will continue to build on your leadership skills and track record and take on multiple teams. You will lead your team of account executives along with several other teams and their managers in a sales region.

You have shown a consistent ability to perform at a high level, always sharing knowledge and best practices, and developing deeper relationships cross-functionally. You are viewed as a go-to resource for the team and have shown an ability to truly "think big" for what it is in the best interest of the business. You will work to identify trends in the broader market you are serving and you take initiative to identify problems and bring solutions to the table. You use data as a foundation for making decisions. You will work closely with the sales managers to develop their skill sets and build a strong leadership team.

Your Success Profile What You Will Work On

  • Hire and train high-performing salespeople using our Value Selling sales methodology

  • Manage day-to-day performance of all sales team members

  • Keep an up-to-date team pipeline

  • Analyze historical information and market trends to create accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assist sales reps to successfully bring on new customers

  • Creating a collaborative and inclusive team culture

  • Show a consistent ability to achieve quota

  • Ability to uplevel your reps through promotions, cross functional work or adversity

  • Liaison between sales and a designated department(s) to build tighter relationships

  • Assisting on specific projects, pilots and other additional tasks

  • Managing and coaching 1-2 additional managers and their respective teams

  • Play a strategic role in building and implementing sales strategies in your territory

  • Involved in strategic meetings (i.e. GTM, GEO, etc) and implementation of GTM plans across the sales org

  • Defining and achieving department level OKRs

  • Individual is working towards Director or higher senior sales leadership

  • Shows dedicated involvement in ERGs or other company DEI initiatives

  • Other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

As a Senior Manager, Sales how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately results in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal attributes are anchored in the following:

  • Good judgment - the exercise of critical thinking, analyzing and assessing problems and implications, identifying patterns, making connections of underlying issues, understanding risks and developing mitigation strategies, and taking ownership of the outcome.

  • Detail-oriented - exercises extreme attention to detail; is thorough, accurate, organized, and productive and seeks to understand both the cause and effect of a situation.

  • Results-driven - consistently achieves results, even under difficult circumstances.

  • Foundational Sales Knowledge - the specific set of sales skills (prospecting, cold calling, nurturing, engaging, presenting, negotiating, closing etc) and knowledge (product, markets, trends, business etc) a person possesses to enact the exchange of value between a buyer and the vendor.

  • Clear communication - the ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.

    Qualifications

  • 3-5 year in a sales representative role; preferably within the industry (Human Capital Management)

  • 3+ years or more of prior management experience; prior management consulting experience is a plus

  • A strong understanding of coaching framework and You love data - you only make decisions that are backed up by the numbers

  • You have strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to think strategically about the direction of our sales team and areas for growth/opportunity

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity with data analysts and reporting

  • Hardworking, persistent, and dependable

    The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $170,000.00 to $195,500.00 per year.

    Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
