Company: Spotify USA, Inc.Company Headquarters: 4 World Trade Center, 150 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007Location: Telecommuting permitted: Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.Job Title: Senior Analytics Engineer DUTIES: Design, build, maintain and support an ecosystem of analysis-friendly datasets for business forecasting and experimentation. Work with partners in product and engineering to measure and assess product performance and implement the relevant business logic for key performance indicators. Evaluate the data quality, scalability and performance of existing/new data pipelines and use these analyses to make meaningful improvements to the data architecture. Work closely with data scientists to identify up coming data needs and enhance existing datasets or build new ones to meet those needs. Ensure high data quality data, contribute to documentation of tools and datasets, and drive cross-functional analytics initiatives to democratize data as an asset. Identify tooling gaps within internal systems, propose new integration plans and institute processes to scale the datasets as the product evolves. Build longterm and robust solutions to surface critical data sourced from a huge and diverse collection of datasets. Work closely with our team of Data Scientists to craft data structures and pipelines, which will empower research and analytic questions. Engineer novel datasets and features, and improve existing ones, with a focus on enabling the flexible analysis of the dynamics of content consumption on our platform. Work with the engineering team to implement new ETL pipelines, and data infrastructure improvements. Build and guide reporting know-how to ensure data and key metric standardization across the larger business unit. *Telecommuting permitted: Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.SALARY: $168,854 - $240,164 / yearWORK SCHEDULE: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday - Friday)JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, Analytics or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Alternatively a Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, Analytics or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role is accepted. Must have five (5) years of experience with: ETL processes and tracing dataflows through complex DAGs.
