Robert Half Project Manager in New York, New York

Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in New York. This role involves leading the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware projects, working closely with various teams, and conducting market and user research. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware projects, ensuring alignment across the company.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

• Partner with Program Management to monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

• Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

• Communicate project status updates and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management.

• Utilize strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities to drive project success.

• Develop and maintain relationships with global teams.

• Ensure the accuracy of project status and progress reports.

• Utilize user testing and validation techniques to ensure product quality.

• Manage and process customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

• Possession of strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.

• Demonstrated management and leadership skills to oversee project teams and ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Experience in operations management, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources.

• Proven ability in planning and organizing projects, including setting objectives, defining tasks, and overseeing execution.

• Research skills to gather and analyze data relevant to the project.

• Commitment to quality assurance and ability to design and implement quality control processes.

• Experience in creating and delivering presentations to various stakeholders.

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analyses to support decision-making.

• Familiarity with engineering principles and practices.

• Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels within and outside the organization.

• Experience in the consumer electronics and manufacturing industry is preferred.

• Strong decision-making abilities to ensure project progress and success.

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software development processes.

• Experience in creating and executing validation plans.

• Proven program management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.

• Knowledge of product management principles and practices.

• Familiarity with market trends and the competitive landscape in the consumer electronics industry.

• Ability to provide regular updates on project status and progress.

• Experience in conducting user testing to validate product features and functionality.

• A plus if having experience in software development and product management.
