Job Description

A global financial services client is looking for a Kubernetes Ops consultant to sit in their location in the Financial District. This person should have strong experience working with Kubernetes so there is no learning curve or need for training in that space. This is for a large effort to migrate over 1,000 apps over from their home-grown platform to Kubernetes. This person will be involved in automation, migration work/tasks, troubleshooting, deployment, and more. There will be some administrative tasks such as getting stats for migrations. This role requires good scripting skills in either Python or Shell - part of your job will require you to write scripts to call the API and understand how many apps have to be migrated, or to pull information on how many apps are running on Kubernetes. This person should be a self starter but also someone who works well with a team.

This is an opportunity to work with a highly skilled engineering team. This role will require you to be onsite 3 days/week in FiDi NYC.

Skills and Requirements

-3-5+ years of professional experience working with/on Kubernetes, supporting Applications running on Kubernetes

-Experience troubleshooting the system, helping with automation, migrations, or deployment tasks on Kubernetes

-Strong Python or Shell scripting abilities

-Previous experience as a Kubernetes Admin

-Great communication skills - written and verbal

-Experience working at a financial services firm -Migration experience (from one system to Kubernetes) null
