JPMorgan Chase Franchise Analytics & Intelligence - Associate in New York, New York

Seize the opportunity to join the Banking Franchise Analytics & Intelligence team providing Banking senior management with pertinent and timely analysis to support strategic decision making.

As an Associate on the Franchise Analytics and Intelligence team in Investment Banking unit you will be responsible for driving strategic and thoughtful analysis. You will partner closely with the Banking Business Managers and can expect to have exposure to industry heads of Investment Banking Coverage.

Job responsibilities

  • Providing Banking senior management with regular updates on Global Investment Banking- Monthly Executive Management Reports, Quarterly Business Reviews, Global Industry Reviews, etc.

  • Providing regular reporting and adhoc support to the Global FP&A team for North America, including forecasting, headcount, budget and revenue analysis

  • Supporting banking ESG management reporting and adhoc analysis used to educate the organization on the ESG competitive landscape

  • Partnering with the Center for Carbon Transition to assist with relevant financial analysis

  • Using external data sources like Dealogic to provide industry and region specific strategic analysis

  • Partnering with business managers to serve as point of contact for client and group level financial analysis - Briefing memos, League Tables, Weekly Pipeline Reports, Revenue/Exposure/Wallet Trends

  • Interfacing with the Technology team to design and build strategic tools as well as business intelligence dashboards for use across the Banking organization

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 4+ years of experience in financial services with an emphasis on business / data analysis

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders

  • Knowledge of investment banking products

  • Sound judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities

  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to synthesize and articulate results to a diverse audience

  • Interest in identifying and proposing key areas of enhancement

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting preferred (CFA, CPA, MBA a plus)

  • Familiarity with Dealogic data preferred

  • Understanding of Wholesale Banking products a plus

  • Familiarity with QlikSense a plus
