JPMorgan Chase Fintech Partnerships - Senior Associate in New York, New York

As a Fintech Partnerships - Senior Associate in Digital, Data and Product, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.

Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery

  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience

  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers

  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle

  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development

  • Develop strong understanding of business roadmap, functional requirements, technical requirements, and end-state customer experience

  • Support the discovery, evaluation, negotiation and curation of third-party partnerships to accelerate execution of CB commercial strategy

  • Onboarding/implementation of partners and ongoing relationship management, in coordination with product owners

  • Design and execute proof of concept projects, including determining success criteria, to test partner solutions with CB clients

  • Analyze market trends to discover leading platforms aligning with our product needs and/or potential investment opportunities

  • Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of deal synergies and impacts; leverage, build, and iterate on financial models and business cases to optimize outcomes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle

  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition

  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy

  • Ability to foster strong relationships with organizational partners and senior stakeholders across product, sales, operations, and technology teams

  • Strength in cultivating connections within the Fintech ecosystem to inform research and identify emerging opportunities

  • Analytical approach to problem solving, able to assess competitive landscape, recognize patterns and evolving opportunities, and offer creative solutions

  • Experience in creating business cases and assessing revenue opportunities, risks (including implementation challenges), and mitigants to those risks

  • Exceptional financial analysis ability; capable of translating abstract, high-level concepts into tangible and actionable project plans

  • Proactive and capable of working independently with a strong drive to deliver results

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • At least 4+ years of industry experience, preferably in growth or product strategy, treasury & payments, corporate strategy, consulting, investment banking, or in a credit related business (Debt Capital Markets, C&I, Commercial Real Estate, Securitized Products)

  • Experience in business development lifecycle and partnerships management from sourcing to contracting and commercialization

  • Ability to engage with external Fintech companies and other ecosystem participants, and to develop an understanding of commercial clients and their evolving needs
