ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement
Run environments by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple distributed software applications
Identify and deploy security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessments and risk management
Qualifications:
5+ years in a DevOps or similar position.
3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Docker orchestration, Kubernetes, and bash scripting.
High proficiency with Terraform. Able to contribute high-quality, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure-as-code.
Experience with Helm for Kubernetes.
Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures.
Working knowledge of Git workflows and CICD technologies (AWS CodeBuild preferred).
Background in Linux (ubuntu/debian preferred) administration. Understanding of core Linux concepts and technologies (memory/CPU/network/DNS (Bind)/disk management and troubleshooting).
Understanding of HTTP traffic, content delivery, caching and cloud security best practices.
Strong sense of urgency; flexible and adaptable; ability to prioritize and multitask independently.
Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year plus bonus.
