Director, Biotechnology (New York, NY - Telecommuting Permissible. (multiple positions). Develop and market equity research products, including research reports, financial models, and industry analysis with focus on the biotechnology industry. Collaborate with senior and associate researcher analysts on all aspects of developing the research product. Evaluate the accuracy of company-specific and industry-wide reports and presentations prepared by Research Associates. Review the work of Research Associates in their use of information collected and analyzed from a range of data sources, including scientific literature, medical conferences, physician interviews and maintaining databases. Review equity research reports, company initiations, and marketing presentations prepared by Research Associates. Maintain integrated I/S, B/S, and C/F models for organizing and maintaining industry data. Maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and support new business and marketing initiatives. Telecommuting permissible. Salary: $173,555 to $200,555 per year. Requires a Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field, and Two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or related position analyzing financial markets in the biotechnology industry. Also requires two (2) years of experience with each: 1) Aggregating and analyzing financial reports and building financial models in advanced excel; 2) Writing in-depth reports on biotechnology companies and topics, valuation of private and public companies, and channel checking; 3) Performing fundamental analysis of companies by analyzing trends in the biotechnology industry from a range of data sources, including scientific literature, medical conferences, and physician interviews; and 4) Vetting private and public companies, conducting client calls, and leading key projects.
