SALARY RANGE : $122,000 - $132,000

HAY POINTS : 830

DEPT/DIV : Transformation Management Office

SUPERVISOR : Chief of Staff - People

LOCATION : 2 Broadway, New York, NY 10004

HOURS OF WORK : 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)

DEADLINE :

This position is eligible for telework which is currently one day per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.

SUMMARY :

The Director of Program Delivery, HR Process Innovation will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing agency-wide HR strategic initiatives that drive availability, knowledge, consistency, accuracy and effective communications in support of MTA’s vision and strategic business goals.

The incumbent will lead a team of project management and change management professionals to execute strategic projects identified by People Team leadership. The incumbent will be accountable to delivering effective project management and change management solutions to drive sustainable improvements to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Engage, collaborate, partner, and leverage cross functional teams to drive program execution.

  • Optimize business processes, customer facing technology and self-service to eliminate waste.

  • Provide business plans, RFP support as required.

  • Demonstrates thought leadership in cross functional team environments.

  • Establish and execute Program and Project deliverables, milestones, and timelines.

  • Supports the development and implementation of the People team strategic vision by performing project analysis as required

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Translates recommendations into communication materials to effectively present to senior leadership

  • Select, develop, and motivate personnel within the department. Provide career development for subordinates. Provide prompt and effective coaching and counseling. Responsible for discipline/termination of employees when necessary. Review performance of staff. Create a professional environment that respects individual differences and enables all employees to develop and contribute to their full potential.

  • Demonstrated experience building and leading a high performing team.

  • Must possess innovative and strategic thinking with a track record of delivering results .

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and teams simultaneously with adherence to standards and deadlines.

  • Ability to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve complex problems.

  • Strong knowledge of organizational change management principles and practices.

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and experience

  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.

  • Demonstrated Interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Strong knowledge data reporting methodologies and visualization.

  • Ability to align performance standards to KPIs.

  • Ability to manage superior, peer, direct report, stakeholder, and customer relationships.

  • Ability to build consensus, influence and present to senior, peer and stakeholder leadership.

  • Working knowledge of budget management and financial reporting.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

    REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in in Business or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Strategic initiatives or executing large-scale organizational projects.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Center of Excellence operations, Shared Services, or related environment.

    PREFERRED

  • An advanced degree in a related field.
