Description We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer based in New York. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical incidents of varying degrees through different communication channels such as the service management system, email, Teams, phone, and walk-up. The position also requires the testing and deployment of hardware and software solutions. This role provides an opportunity for a short term contract employment.

Responsibilities • Analyze and troubleshoot technical incidents efficiently and accurately • Perform remote and on-site troubleshooting using effective methodologies • Test and deploy hardware and software solutions for new deployments, break-fix issues, and move-add-change scenarios • Provide exceptional customer service through various platforms such as service management system, email, Teams, phone, and walk-up • Proactively engage with customers to understand their technology needs and prevent issues before they arise • Follow up with customers to ensure their technology needs are met and issues are resolved promptly • Update and maintain a technology knowledgebase with customer-facing and internal troubleshooting documentation • Track and thoroughly document technology issues through the service management system • Identify issues, propose solutions, and test new technologies or process changes • Manage end-user technology projects, such as migrations, deployments, and introduce new technology solutions • Utilize skills in PowerShell Scripting, Desktop Support, Remote Desktop Support, End-User Support, Deskside Support, Windows Environment, Mac Computers, Mac OS, Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 11, Active Directory, VDI, DHCP - DNS, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or related field

• Proficiency in PowerShell Scripting and PowerShell

• Demonstrated experience with Desktop Support and Remote Desktop Support

• Strong understanding of End-User Support and Deskside Support

• Familiarity with Windows Environment, including Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11

• Experience with Mac Computers, including Mac OS and Mac OS X

• Knowledge of Active Directory functionalities

• Understanding and experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

• Familiarity with DHCP DNS

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Windows Azure, and Microsoft Azure

• Ability to provide support and troubleshooting services for a variety of hardware and software issues

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
