Compensation :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I (TA) : $ 6 5,954 - $7 8,079

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II (TA) : $ 7 6,577 - $8 5,288

Associate Transit Management Analyst (TA) : $ 8 6,565 - $1 12,083

Responsibilities :

The selected candidate will work in area of budget, organization research and personnel administration. The incumbent will provide IOD reports, lost time trends and analyses, perform quantitative analysis and the other research techniques, and make recommendations to management to obtain optimum efficiency in the utilization of staff and equipment. Analyst must have proficient computer skills and be knowledgeable of various software, including but not limited to Office 365 applications, Share Point and access so that can work on existing system with the Power Department to accomplish all duties listed above.

Education and Experience :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving data analytical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent PC Skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 360 environment such as Word, Excel, Share Point, Planner, Power Point, Teams and Access.

  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction.

  • Create presentations of analytical data using graphs and charts.

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
