Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional at a company in the Retail - Clothes & Access industry. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. What you get to do every single day

• Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

• Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

• Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

• Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

• Verify documents and codes

• Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

• Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers Requirements - ERP system experience

• Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• High attention to detail

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Foundational knowledge in chargebacks

• Knowledge of account reconciliation

• Solid understanding of cash applications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
