About the role:
As one of the foundational roles within our Accounting and Finance team, you'll play a key role in the maintaining our accounting and finance capabilities including core workflows and systems for the management and analysis of revenue and expenses, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, employee compensation, cash management, financial reporting and more. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills that help support the accurate and timely submission of financial accounting data to the leadership.
Core responsibilities:
Revenue and expense/cost accounting:
Perform weekly cash reconciliations
Assist in the monthly invoicing of brand billing statements by retrieving reports from various data sources and compiling into usable formats
Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports to internal & external stakeholders
Assist in managing the lease accounting for all of Leap’s real estate locations, including ensuring timely payment of monthly fixed and percentage rents due
Responsible for new store opening administrative items, such as tax registrations, city/state/county business registrations, insurance documentation, and other related licenses
Manage the fixed asset subledger, including ensuring assets are categorized appropriately, depreciated correctly, and classified to the correct store
Corporate & administrative systems and workflows:
Assist in month-end close process - prepare workpapers, journal entries, and draft financial statements for review by the Accounting Manager
Draft brand billing statements and invoices
Reconcile monthly sales & use tax related filings with tax authorities.
Conduct bi-weekly expense reimbursement processing
Reconcile key balance sheet accounts
Support ad hoc management analysis requests
Work with the Director of Accounting and other business stakeholders to brainstorm, analyze, and implement process improvements and automation.

Consistent, timely execution and delivery of accounting workflows and related business financial performance reports with thoughtful analysis and insights
Contributions to the development and implementation of Accounting & Finance workflows, systems/tools and team development
Contribution to the development of a team-oriented, high performance culture within the firm
Successful collaboration with operational peers and team members across the organization
Candidate Requirements
Netsuite experience
Lease accounting
Candidate Preferences:
1+ years operational accounting experience
Retail industry experience preferred
Understanding of GAAP accounting, financial analysis standards and best practices
Enjoy working in a collaborative work setting
Communicates clearly in both verbal and written settings
Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage and keep records and processes up to date
High level of comfort working in a fast-moving workplace culture

Pay Transparency: $65,000-$80,000
