Philips Senior Reliability Technician in New Kensington, Pennsylvania

Your challenge

In this role, you will support the Philips Sleep & Respiratory Care business as a Senior Reliability Technician providing technical support in the Reliability Demonstration Test Area, Health and Sound Check Test area, as well as support of other testing environments and activities as needed by the Reliability Team. You will work closely, yet independently, with Reliability Engineers and Team Leaders

You are responsible for

  • Technical support for Reliability Demonstration Test Area that includes:

  • Setting up and maintaining both large and small scale device testing

  • Running simultaneous testing platforms including oven tests and simulated breathing tests

  • Monitor and run Design of Experiment devices.

  • Document critical observations and communicate appropriately.

  • Set up and maintain excellent record keeping of devices on test and their configurations and status.

  • Monitor and maintain test equipment.

  • Troubleshooting device and test equipment to maintain smooth and continuous test facility operation.

  • Run routine device quality tests including sound, electrical, and other performance metrics.

  • Run other various Reliability tests, some of which may be on automatic test equipment, others run using manual input.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • Strong, hands on, self-motivated, attitude

  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Associate degree in Electronics and Computer Technology

  • 10 + years of related experience (i.e. technical support)

  • Have worked in an FDA regulated environment.

  • Familiar with software tools including LabView, Arduino, Word, and Excel

  • Ability to ascertain urgency of support request.

  • Capability to excel in a high performing team environment and work with multiple projects.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
