GE Vernova R Table, Demand and Risk Leader, Onshore Wind APAC in New Delhi, India

Job Description Summary

You will be working in the GE Renewables business, in the Commercial Organization in GE Onshore Wind, covering the APAC region. You will ensure that contracts for supply and maintenance of wind turbines are executable within appropriate risk limits.

This position is opened in Sydney, Australia, but may evaluate alternative locations where there is an Onshore Wind commercial footprint, such as Bangalore, Delhi (India), Tokyo (Japan).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Validate risk and reward balance, considering factors such as terms and conditions, technical risks, fulfillment capacity, margin, security of payment, etc.

  • Lead risk review meetings, and support approval escalation meetings.

  • Review and approve Terms and Conditions of supply and multi-year services agreements. Keep an overview of the deal approval status of the remainder items, being cognizant of their content (EHS, finance, technical risks), and approve/reject the bid / submission or contract signature accordingly.

  • Track, aggregate and perform analytics of the demand for the deals in the covered region.

  • Lead or participate in the various activities for reconciliation of the supply and demand plan.

  • Develop tools towards leaner negotiations on terms and conditions, while maintaining the desired risk profile.

  • Participate or lead initiatives within the sales/commercial organization to drive process rigor & simplification and other improvements to the overall risk management process.

  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.

  • Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Support achievement of Commercial Team metrics related to orders and margins.

  • Back-up other R table leaders during vacations to the extent possible.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Experience in wind power industry or in power generation industry.

  • Deep knowledge of terms and conditions (T&Cs) for the sale of equipment and services.

  • Experience negotiating supply or services contracts.

  • Strong skills in process analysis, problem solving, and strategy development

  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

  • Customer oriented

  • Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-business teams

  • Contemporary IT skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; integrative team working style, able to work into a multi-cultural environment

  • Ability to make decisions with limited or conflicting data

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously

  • Availability to travel once per quarter

Desired Characteristics

  • Enthusiasm for renewables and technology

  • Previous experience in risk management, project management, contract negotiations or contract management in the wind power industry or in power generation industry will be an advantage
