Posting Summary | The Department of History, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, invites applications for a Lecturer to teach a broad 200-level undergraduate course in Fall 2024 entitled "Health, Culture and Society." The successful applicant will have background & training in history of medicine/ medical studies and be prepared to cover topics such as epidemiology, public health, the body, disease, mental health and the social and cultural forces that shape medical practices and experiences. As the instructor of record, a Lecturer position is responsible for preparing the course syllabus, delivering lectures and leading discussions, assessing student work in a timely manner, holding weekly office hours, responding to student emails, and submitting final course grades to the registrar. |
