Clinical Lead : Residential & Outpatient Services

Location: Resource Center, New Brighton, MN; some hybrid opportunity. Will float to metro-based residential and outpatient sites 2 days a week/as needed.

Meridian Behavioral Health, LLC, is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery with a network of addiction treatment centers in Minnesota. We are seeking a Clinical Lead to support direct patient care, compliance, education, and training throughout the Twin Cities area. The qualified candidate, under the leadership of the Clinical Director, ensures responsible for design and implementation of competency based orientation; as well as, direct patient care as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Carry a caseload as needed; Provide clinical services as needed.

  • Knowledgeable of the 12 core functions and supporting the mental health needs of patients.

  • Ensure all clinical services are provided in accordance with state and program requirements.

  • As needed, support, daily management of the clinical program and staff.

  • Facilitate communication between clinical staff and Resource Center regarding training, education, and compliance.

  • Train and provide supervision to the clinical staff.

  • Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratios are met.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews.

  • Be available for consultation.

  • Support student learning. When needed, review and sign off on all interns’ progress notes, reviews, treatment plans, transfers, and service termination documents

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

  • Master's degree in Human Services' Related field

  • Current MN license in a mental health profession (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT)

  • A minimum of three years of experience providing direct service to individuals with co-occurring morbidity.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program.

  • Must be able to document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, discharge planning within 6 months of the date of hire.

  • On-going training on cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.

    Required Skills, Knowledge, and Ability

  • Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format.

  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.

  • Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities.

  • Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format

  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities

  • Prefer LADC and Mental Health Licensure
