This is an onsite position for an Injection Molding Process Engineer responsible for developing and coordinating Davalor Molds plastic injection molding processes in a manufacturing plant environment reporting to the VP of Engineering working with all levels of the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

• Utilize sound engineering judgment in planning new processes and the improvement of existing processes using PFMEA methodology.
• Train and mentor shift process technicians and monitor all plant part quality and process performance to support a defect-free mentality.
• Proactively work with material and colorant suppliers to improve performance by analyzing material specifications from part and machine performance.
• Utilize knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality control standards, and lean manufacturing principles to plan and implement new processes and improvements to existing production processes.
• Support product development design and tooling creation to ensure efficient production methods.
• Utilize both internal and external resources to implement new tooling and processes.
• Apply analytical thinking and data analysis to develop and execute sound validation of change impacts to product quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
• Working with the quality engineering team to support the resolution of internal and external part rejections, communicate with suppliers, customers, and the quality team to work through problems and resolve customer concerns.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements, improve current processes, and develop tools and standards to develop shop floor autonomy.
• Lead cross-functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement appropriate corrective actions, and track and validate effectiveness.
• Support engineering product development at suppliers and customer sites with the processing of external plastic injection molding components.
• Create and maintain all part trial information and documentation of mold development processes
