The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Transport Manager Ocean Freight EMEA (m/f/*), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

You will have the incredible opportunity to unleash your curiosity and collaborate with a diverse and innovative global team. Your contributions will make a significant impact by:

  • Assure Ocean transportation operational execution aligned to global standard and area strategy to deliver optimal cycle time, lowest delivered cost, and certified quality of transport

  • Ensure end to end performance across all operations and final delivery to our customers (internal and external)

  • Defines 3PL service level agreements, oversees carrier performance for the region and works closely with Logistics procurement and carrier KAM to drive continuous improvements

  • Develops and provides teams tailor made ocean transport and equipment solutions for specific market and product requirements

  • Aligns with Regional stakeholders on market requirements and coaches teams on best practices

  • Integrates new vendors into 3M based on 3M preferred INCO terms

    Your Skills and Expertise     

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in international transport

  • Excellent knowledge of all modes of transport incl. hazardous goods handling

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Very good understanding of Industry and int. Logistics market standards

  • Strong communication skills to work cross functionally with a variety different functions and partners

  • Capability to drive success in a customer first, global and constraint market environment
