Naval Medical Command OFFICE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in Naval Station Complex, California

Summary You will serve as an OFFICE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the NAVENPVNTMEDU 5 SAN DIEGO. Responsibilities You will provide administrative support and assistance in drafting correspondence and reports. You will receive and screen phone calls and emails and route appropriately. You will distribute incoming mail and maintain paper and electronic files. You will prepare travel requests and assist with coordinating travel matters. You will maintain and order office supplies and equipment inventory files. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS) for travel authorizations, vouchers, air and vehicle reservations, per diem calculations, and miscellaneous travel expenses. Experience drafting Navy Correspondence in accordance with the Navy Correspondence Manual using Microsoft software to prepare reports and Outlook Calendar maintenance. Experience formatting documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation for internal and external correspondence submissions and Navy award processing through BUPERS Online (BOL). Experience with office supply maintenance and ordering, Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program limitations, and preparation of supply requisitions. Experience filing and maintaining electronic and paper files to include classified document control procedures. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
