Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Air Station San Diego, California

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment Fleet Support Team (FST), Logistics Office of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will be a Logistics Management Specialist on the Support Equipment Fleet Support Team (FST). You will communicate team and program requirements of the team membership and resource requirements to the FST Competency Manager. You will respond to Competency Managers for information and support including but not limited to: providing inputs to team members annual performance appraisals. You will perform developmental assignments in life cycle logistics management and operational program analysis. You will independently perform work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity. You will draft or prepare a variety of document to include newsletter items, responses to routing inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responsible for all aspects/phases of programs assigned to the Integrated Program Team (IPT) - Concept exploration to disposal to satisfy the needs of the customer; 2) Act as IPT Logistics Management Specialist and is required to set priorities, and to coordinate workload, develop, monitor and defend budgets, schedules work assignments, and manages the execution of allocated funds; 3) Participate with the Fleet Support Team (FST) Senior Lead Logistics Management Specialist and Competency Managers in the long-range planning, identification, and assessment of logistics resources necessary to effectively support current and projected requirements; 4) Work closely with the FST Senior Lead Logistics Management Specialist and Competency Managers to formulate and identify required logistics resources necessary to enable the IPT/FSTs to successfully complete all assigned goals, tasks and objectives; 5) Ensure the operation of the team conforms to policy and general guidance.
