Amazon’s Last Mile Driver Training & Programs (T&P) is seeking a Program Manager, Amazon Logistics (AMZL) T&P to drive large scale product, program, and technical initiatives. In this role, the Program Manager, Amazon Logistics T&P will be a key member of AMZL training team while still working very close to the action, spending time on the delivery station floor with the teams who make our delivery stations great. This positions impact will be essential to the growth and success of our Last Mile Business Organization. The Program Manager, Amazon Logistics Driver T&P will need to have experience as an influencer and capable to work effectively with senior leadership across multiple organizations.

This individual will have knowledge as a self-starter, program leader, communicator, and problem solver with analytical and operational skills. In this role, the Program Manager, Amazon Logistics Driver T&P will work with worldwide cross-functional teams on complex logistics problems and provide innovative solutions driving content engagement and retention. The successful candidate in this role will demonstrate ability to balance customer research, data analysis, project and senior stakeholder management, and written / verbal communication. The PM must have sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically with a long-term vision about this fast-growing space, while being able to execute on tactical details.

This role requires a high level of writing, judgement, influence, and ownership. The individual will lead with data to persuade others, own and develop strategic partnerships with internal and external customers. The Program Manager must be able to communicate effectively and write engaging narratives and present them to stakeholders. This individual will be required to routinely build from the ground up and deliver the right things with limited guidance. The Program Manager will have experience developing both products and programs from scratch and be comfortable with stepping into uncharted territory. This individual will have experience working in a global, matrixed organization and with cross-functional teams. Furthermore, this individual will have a proven track record of coordinating multiple initiatives at once, managing trade-offs across competing priorities, and delivering results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Serve as the owner and manager of the lifecycle of Program/Product-wide initiatives, supporting the scale of the Driver Training & Program team.

  • Operate through influence as a force-multiplier to deliver products and programs via implementation resources in the L&D team and other key stakeholder teams.

  • Define business and product strategy, handling complex product development and business management scenarios that require high judgement decisions for maximum return on investment (SROI).

  • Invent new (and drive continuous improvement for) mechanisms that enable impact at scale, including processes, tools, procedures, and inspection points.

  • Effectively establish, prioritize and negotiate resources to unblock teams, increase the speed of delivery and manage critical escalations.

  • Make high judgement trade-off decisions (time vs. effort vs. features) between short-term and long-term needs when delivering results.

  • Leverage data to establish vision, goals, tenets, roadmap, decision narratives, status updates, and key performance indicators for senior leadership.

  • Consult with internal support functions and use tech to identify and develop efficiencies in the appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools to quantify and track the impact of initiatives.

  • Display emotional and cultural intelligence when communicating across borders and disciplines with diverse needs.

  • Travel up to 50%.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
