Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management

Amazon is seeking a qualified Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management to join our Cross-Border Exports Logistics team. Amazon serves customers around the globe on all seven continents. This role leads the team to optimize the cross-border exports network and improve delivery speed globally. The Senior Manager will serve as a logistics partner to the Amazon Exports business team, prioritizing transportation and logistics requirements to support growth goals. They will gather input from various business partners and develop requirement documents for cross-functional teams. The Senior Manager will also acquire knowledge of Amazon fulfillment, transportation, and international logistics to identify and develop products for the growing cross-border network.

Attention to detail is crucial to provide faster and more cost-effective delivery options for customers. The ideal candidate should efficiently manage multiple projects, communicate updates regularly, and demonstrate a track record of project delivery and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance Amazon's freight transportation management capabilities. They will define solutions and services to meet the needs of various segments within our supply base. As a data-driven company, Amazon values candidates who can adeptly handle and analyze large amounts of data to assess the current state and determine the business impact of technological changes.

We are seeking a leader with deep expertise in building a vision from the ground up, executing cross-organizational and cross-functional goals, and launching complex and novel products and processes.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with diverse requirements to develop compelling products and services.

  • Clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and product development progress to cross-functional teams.

  • Leveraging internal and external best practices to expedite product development objectives.

  • Working with various internal stakeholders to document their requirements and liaising with the technology organization for implementation, including Sourcing, Customer Service, Transportation Operations, Finance, Accounting, and others.

  • Collaborating with other program/product leaders to minimize overlap and ensure seamless integration of aligned solutions.

  • Collecting and managing key data to demonstrate the business value and return on investment (ROI) of proposed technology improvements.

  • Managing a team of product, program, and supply chain managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • 4+ years of managing teams experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level

  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, analyze data, and build custom reports and dashboards.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large, complex datasets.

  • Proven experience in working with and manipulating large datasets, using various data analysis techniques and tools.

  • Ability to communicate complex data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write queries, join tables, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
