Position Description
Deque Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced corporate trainer to join our instructor-led training team. Our ideal candidate is a pragmatic and open-minded individual with a strong background in UX/UI design. As a seasoned professional with vast experience conducting highly engaging training sessions and workshops, you are passionate about delivering online and in-person participant-centered training experiences that are hands-on, engaging, and aspirational.
As a member of our trainer team, you’ll be primarily responsible for leading product and subject matter expertise related training sessions for our clients, helping them meet their organizational goals for accessibility and digital inclusion. Leveraging your background in UX/UI design, you'll ensure that our clients not only understand accessibility and inclusion concepts but also how to integrate them seamlessly into user-centered design. You'll leverage industry best practices and emerging trends in to push the boundaries of live and virtual training events.
Your expertise in UX/UI design will be crucial in delivering informative, practical, and hands-on training sessions that leave participants feeling empowered and motivated to create online experiences that are accessible for people with disabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct seminars, workshops, training sessions, and lectures for our customers
Contribute to planning and implementing a world-class accessibility training strategy
Work closely with our Deque University team, to keep expanding on our training materials
Create complementary training materials and strategies based on data and research
Work together with other trainers, managers, and our leadership teams
Design, test and review effective training programs to constantly challenge our approach
Create training environments where participants feel safe to take risks
Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, etc.
Work with customers and identify the training opportunities to meet their goals
Develop meaningful relationships with our customers that lead to their success
Analyze the data and feedback to find meaningful areas for improvement
Requirements
Phenomenal communication and presentation skills that allow you to easily work a room
Solid knowledge of the subject matter, and an unquenchable desire to always learn more
Open-mindedness and willingness to keep up with new techniques in corporate teaching
Critical thinking and solid ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, while still paying attention to detail
Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel throughout the US and internationally to meet customers’ training needs
Proficient with MS PowerPoint and/or Google Slides; InDesign and Acrobat Pro are an asset
Knowledge of HTML, WAI-ARIA and CSS technologies is an asset, but not required
Knowledge of native mobile platforms (iOS and Android) is also an asset, but not required
Degree in UX/UI Design, or similar
IAAP Certification (CPACC, WAS, CPWA, ADS, etc.) are also an asset, but not required

Job Location
- Remote; Eastern time zone is preferred, but not at all required. Willingness to travel 10 -25% of the time.
