Job Description
A major client of ours in the Nashville area is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction & Facilities Category Manager to join their team. This high-level role requires a unique blend of construction industry expertise and advanced procurement skills, particularly in managing large-scale capital projects. The ideal candidate will not only handle procurement but also play a strategic role in developing and executing data-driven category strategies that align with the clients vision and strategic initiatives. This position will partner with various stakeholders, including Maintenance and Operations, Planning & Construction, Real Estate, and Sustainability groups, to implement and manage innovative and sustainable sourcing solutions. The role requires a proactive approach to analyzing spend data, tracking market trends, and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree
8-10 years of strategic sourcing, category management, or high-level procurement experience
Minimum 4+ years of experience with procurement in the construction industry
Experience bidding out capital projects in the construction industry (ex. Architectural bids, construction manager bids, etc.)
Capable of drafting and negotiating complex contracts within facilities and construction
Strong quantitative, qualitative, and financial analytical skills Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or other purchasing professional certification
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification
Experience working with Oracle or E-Builder
Experience working with power management or power monitoring systems
Able to simplify and solve complex problems, processes, or projects
Able to challenge systems, processes, and status quos that block collaboration and productivity null
