Role Definition

Assists in developing, testing and implementing application systems.

Requirements: Salesforce Developer, 5+ years as a developer on Salesforce community environment. Experience with Lightning Web Components, Java, Javascript, and Apex. Experience with Angular custom VF, SOQL, Lightning Config and Lightning Aura.

Requested Certifications: SF Platform Developer I or II, Identity Access Management, and/or System Integrations experience.

Experience with Agile delivery SAFe and SCRUM. Jira or Azure DevOps

Managing code in a multi-developer shared org, with experience with coding standards, practices, merge processes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Participates in developing, coding and testing computer programs for relatively straightforward or small projects.

• Assist in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.

• Provide detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.

• Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Works with specific development platforms, system and program design tools.

• Participates in the technical design of a specific application.

• Selects and presents design alternatives for applications of small to medium complexity.

• Defines tasks, activities, deliverables and key concerns of technical design.

• Assists in reviewing and documenting technical application designs.

Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

Level Working Knowledge:

• Tracks problems associated with the quality and effectiveness of application software.

• Researches the benefits and drawbacks of an organization's application software.

• Drafts application software usage for the department's needs.

• Provides instant support for end users of application software.

• Implements a specific application software under the supervision of management.

System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Assists with current and planned integration initiatives.

• Explores major issues and considerations for successful system integration.

• Works with applications, data, technology bridges and a variety of platforms.

• Works with existing interfaces as well as integration and migration plans within own area.

• Plays an active role in local integration efforts.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Supports the project leader in developing and executing system test plans.

• Evaluates system documentation and user manuals for usability, accuracy and completeness.

• Executes test cases, analyzes test results and reports on findings regularly.

• Tests system components for compliance with functional requirements.

• Participates in the testing of a system's ability to recover from hardware or software failures.

Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Reports software connectivity and integration issues.

• Demonstrates planned software changes on the local environment.

• Administers software migration and contingency plans related to own function.

• Analyzes the local software architecture components and products.

• Tests key features for the entire software infrastructure environment.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Handles calls related to product features, applications, and compatibility standards.

• Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.

• Discovers, analyzes and resolves hardware, software, or application problems.

• Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used.

• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools, and utilities.

Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Implements technical documentation standards, guidelines and best practices.

• Prepares written text and layout of materials according to required outlines and specifications.

• Completes and maintains technical reference documents.

• Uses the major features, functions and facilities of an automated documentation tool.

• Coordinates and constantly updates system operations, installations, service manuals, and help documents.
