Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions and oversee the work of a Staff Accountant, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, taxes and expenses.

• Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines

• Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

• Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities

• Work with external tax accountants to support preparation and filing of federal and state taxes, in addition to supporting the R& D tax credit study process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA or MBA preferred.

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including within public accounting. .

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.

• Experience and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
