Intermountain Health Athletic Trainer TOSH Hand Surgery Clinic in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Sports Medicine Physician, the Athletic Trainer will assist in evaluation and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries and sports related injuries.

The ATC will work in a clinical setting where there is a variety of tasks including abilities to help with in office procedures / clinic / administrative duties. They will be responsible for helping the clinic maintain an organized fast passed work environment while performing administrative duties. such as paperwork / phone calls / scheduling / authorizations.

Job Essentials

  • Assembles necessary documents and supplies.

  • Effectively uses computer applications in the office setting.

  • Schedules, coordinates, and monitors appointments, surgeries, tests, treatments, and procedures.

  • Answering and returning patient phone calls

  • Maintains medical records and other information.

  • Bracing / casting

  • Scribing providers notes

  • Suture Removal

  • Set up and assisting in in office procedures

  • Educates patients regarding exercise program, health needs, and risks.

  • Coordinates care with other patient care providers as appropriate.

  • Cleans, maintains, and inspects surgical equipment

  • Shift Details:Monday – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm

  • Department: TOSH Orthopedic Specialty Group Hand Clinic

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current license as an Athletic Trainer in state of practice.

  • National athletic trainer certification.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

  • Experience in a variety of computer programs including data bases, word processing, and internet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical experience. Hand surgeon based practice / high volume with opportunity to work in clinic / assist in in office procedures but also time for admin duties.

Physical Requirements:

Carrying, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$25.08 - $38.71
