Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer in Multiple Locations, Mexico

As a Software Engineer on the Places Reserve team, you will lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of exceptional user experiences and highly resilient backend services. You will be working on a modernized tech stack while seamlessly integrating with established calendar workflows and APIs that currently serve hundreds of millions of users. This role offers a unique opportunity to further refine your product and technical expertise, as you balance agility and rigor.

We are looking for engineers with strong technical skills and passionate about building great products, obsessed with security and performance as a key attribute of their designs, customer focused, and data driven to provide the best user experience strategically and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Functional design and development of new features to deliver experiences customers will love.

  • Writing maintainable, well-tested code, and the monitoring systems to ensure it functions well in production.

  • Using telemetry to discover bugs, customer pain points, and other opportunities for improvement to make our users’ lives a little better every day.

  • Working closely with engineers across the organization to ensure seamless experiences at scale.

  • Working with partner teams to brainstorm and communicate ideas, measure and incorporate feedback.

  • Striving to create clarity out of ambiguity, making concrete measurable progress to learn and grow not only yourself, but the team.

  • Listening to customer feedback to identify user pain and proactively fixing and improving the product.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in product building, cloud services, microservice architecture, and service API design.

  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and modern software development tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience

  • Strong analytical, design and communication skills

  • Strong customer focus

  • Excellent project management and communication skills

  • Excellent cross-team collaboration skills

  • Can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Can work with technologies such as, but not limited toGit, .NET Core, REST, gRPC, C#, etc.
