Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The Microsoft Business Applications Asia Practice is looking for a Solution Architect with Dynamics AX/ Dynamics 365 for Operations and Finance experience at an Enterprise level, who has a mix of hands on experience on business applications implementations, architectural design and strategic business acumen. The role requires a broad range of industry knowledge and a minimum of 10 years of Large ERP implementation experience.

  • Understanding customer/partner technical environment

  • You will gather insights from various stakeholders and evaluate industry trends to shape and adapt the project approach and solution to customer needs. You will also share customer feedback with product engineering teams and the business to improve Microsoft technologies, products, and services.

  • Architecture design and deployment

  • You will define, document, and communicate the architecture of the business solution using existing methodologies, reference architecture, and design patterns. You will collaborate with the project manager and the customer to drive project governance, quality control, and business value realization. You will also work with customer stakeholders to gather and ratify requirements and constraints, develop, and execute test plans, and resolve complex ambiguity and defects.

  • Practice development

  • You will generate and improve intellectual property, connect gaps and patterns across business and technological areas, and drive the re-use of solutions and best practices. You will also participate and contribute to internal and external communities, such as conferences, seminars, technical meetups, webcasts, blogs, and hackathons.

  • Trusted Advisor

  • You will develop and maintain relationships with senior-level decision makers and influencers, and act as an advisor to external stakeholders. You will use evidence-based arguments to challenge and influence the direction of the architecture and the solution and serve as the "technical conscience" to ensure optimal results. You will also lead the adoption of Microsoft solutions and differentiate them from competitors, while aligning with customer feedback and Microsoft-centric operations.

  • Thought Leadership

  • You will lead virtual teams around technologies and customer challenges, and share your ideas, insights, and technical input with internal and external audiences. You will also demonstrate deep industry knowledge and drive recognition for Microsoft solutions through presentations and engagements. You will also mentor less experienced colleagues and educate them on technical and non-technical concepts and best practices

Qualifications

What skills do you need to have?

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years' experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)

  • OR master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios.

  • 1+ years’ experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.

  • Deep experience with implementing large ERP engagements using Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 for Operations.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure, Azure D365 Deployments, Integrations and Customizations within Dynamics 365 for Operations

  • In-depth experience in business process including Manufacturing, Finance, Retail and Supply Chain is required.

  • Effective in fostering executive level relationships.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • A fluent command of English language plus additional Asian language will be an advantage.

  • Advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of the Dynamics ERP Solution to provide detailed reliable solutions and estimates for service implementations.

  • Proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

  • Resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.

Travel: is an integral part of the job and is approximately 50%, mostly in the ASIA region.
