The NS1 Connect Platform provides the rock solid Managed DNS and dynamic Traffic Steering capabilities for the modern hybrid network. We're connecting audiences to applications, and we're looking for engineers to help drive the innovation.

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Emerging Technology team. The initial responsibility will be focused on operationalizing our development and production environments, but we are always looking for people who can help level-up our teams in multiple areas.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Ideally, you'll bring experience with:

• Configuration management and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform and Kubernetes/OpenShift preferred)

• Working on integration and delivery systems (Github Actions, Jenkins).

• Software development and scripting (GoLang and Python preferred).

• Deploying and troubleshooting complex, global production systems.

• Multiple hosting models preferred (managed, colo, and AWS/multi-cloud).

• Admin-level Linux skills.

• Willingness to be in an on-call rotation

Extra kudos for experience with:

• Collaborating with product development engineers to identify, implement and report on service level indicators and objectives.

• Containerized applications

• Observability systems.

• DNS Systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Several years of experience in hands-on global production system deployment, administration and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience in systems performance analysis and debugging in a Linux environment and experience in software development and scripting: bash and python are required.

• Experience in automation is required and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

• Few years of experience with provisioning and configuration management systems (terraform, ansible) across multiple cloud providers.

• Few years of experience in working with different cloud providers such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP.

• Extensive years of experience with operating systems running on Kubernetes / Openshift platforms.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Golang experience is preferred.

• Few years of experience in observability and alerting systems, splunk, ELK, open telemetry or similar systems.

• Collaborating with product development engineers to identify, implement and report on service level indicators and objectives.

• Containerized applications and experience with remote bare metal hardware provisioning. PXE boot, working with remote hands.
