CommonSpirit Health Anesthesia: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia in Mt. Shasta, California

Come join our Anesthesia Team at one of the most beautiful hospitals in California, Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta. The hospital is nestled at the base of Mt. Shasta. It is a 25-bed, critical access hospital, level III trauma center, with three rural health clinics and a new Emergency Department. Mt. Shasta is a small rural community that is sure to make your heart skip with all of the amazing outdoor wonders at your front door. Mt. Shasta has a catchment area of 17,000 lives and is surrounded by lakes, hiking, skiing lifts, and many more amazing outdoor adventures. This is an amazing opportunity to provide healthcare services to a rural community and enjoy the natural beauty of Northern California. Mt. Shasta has over 60 mountain biking trails totaling more than 80 miles with expansion plans and national forest as far as the eye can see. A wonderful 18-hole golf course, a new life to the ski resort, is ideal for white water rafting, fishing, backcountry skiing, and snowmobiling, and offers mountaineering galore.

We are currently recruiting for an Independent CRNA with Zephyr Anesthesia, who will complete our team of four FTE all CRNA groups. Our team has reduced hospital opioid use by over fifty percent and increased billing collections by twenty-eight percent. CRNAs are actively involved in medical staff meetings, surgery committees, trauma committees, and quality improvement including opioid reduction studies.

CRNA will provide anesthesia for a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient procedures in a CRNA-independent practice. They are providing anesthesia services for a CAH, level 3 trauma center as a full-service independent practitioner. Specialties include but are not limited to, OB/GYN, general, colorectal, endoscopy, orthopedic, spine, eyes, trauma, and ER coverage. Comprehensive regional anesthesia program including ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, continuous catheters, and chronic pain. They are providing pain management services, providing coverage to the emergency department and OB deck.

SRNA's will rotate through the site with Samuel Merritt, National University, University of Reno, University of South Florida, Middle Tennessee School Of Anesthesia.

The clinical rotation is 3 weeks on, and one week off. equaling 13 weeks off a year (9 days off in a row per month). Call is 7 days a month with a post-call day, usually resulting in coming to work at the latest and leaving earliest.

$300K annual salary

$30k sign-on/moving bonus

$150/hr for call-ins while on call.

13 weeks off/year
