Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join a team of highly skilled professionals in a stimulating work environment. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Pleasant, South Carolina, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.

What you get to do every single day

  • Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

  • Implement full-cycle A/P

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

  • Help with internal and external audits as required

  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

  • Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Form 1099

  • Adeptness in Daily Reconciliation

  • Background working with general ledger

  • Practical knowledge of Process Check Requests

  • Oracle experience highly preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Proficiency in bank reconciliations

  • Earlier work involving Coding Invoices

  • Foundational knowledge in cash reconciliations

  • Experience with Credit Card Reconciliation

  • General familiarity with Cash Deposits

  • Command of account reconciliation

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
