PACCAR Inc. Structures Lab Support Technician in Mount Vernon, Washington

Structures Lab Support Technician PACCAR Technical Center (PTC) Vehicle Systems Validation team works to ensure proper structural validation for PACCAR truck development programs. The team uses PTC's state-of-the-art testing facility to make sure Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks are production ready. This Structures Lab Support Technician will assist test engineers and technicians with design, assembly and/or modification of test fixtures and related hydraulic and electronic controllers for structural validation of PACCAR products. Get started! Job Functions and Responsibilities Work individually and in teams to fabricate and assemble large test fixtures, including structural, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic hookups. Install instrumentation, including, accelerometers, strain gauges, deflection transducers, thermocouples, and pressuretransducers. Operate a multitude of control software to run test stands and other structural test-systems. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and basic organization. Qualifications Comfortable manipulating and moving heavyequipment Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulicsystems Knowledge of instrumentation transducers including load cells, strain gages, accelerometers, and displacement sensors. General knowledge of data acquisition systems such as DEWESoft or National Instruments. Ability to understand engineering drawings of electrical/mechanical equipment, test fixtures and assemblies. Must have good mechanical aptitude and able to use power and hand tools. Good computer and software skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Must be able to work independently and as part of team. Focus on safety.
